Persons who may file a cassation appeal in civil proceedings
Only a party, the Prosecutor General or the Ombudsman may submit a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court. Filing a cassation appeal by a party excludes - in the contested scope - lodging a cassation appeal by the Prosecutor General or the Ombudsman. A party may, of course, file a complaint in person or through a representative. Granting a procedural power of attorney to represent a party in a specific case, without limiting its scope, also means authorizing the attorney to prepare and submit a cassation appeal.
